The concert recorded on this tape was the first, and so far the only concert Ende Shneafliet has ever given. The music for the concert was particularly made for the VPRO-programme 'Spleen' (a radio programme which doesn't exist any more) and only played at this occasion. The concert took place in the VPRO-studio and was live-broadcasted at the same time on Sunday September 18th in 1983 between 1. 0 and 1. 0 h. The live-concert of Ende Shneafliet has its own catalogue number in the Trumpett Tapes releaselist (but was never released as a cassette) namely TRUM 0020"

Ende Shneafliet were a band from the Netherlands who released several tapes during 1981-1985. The Dutch collective defies categorization and has a sound that is minimal or cold wave with influences of new wave, synthpop and avant garde electronica.

The second post for today is one of the more obscure Staaltape releases was given to me by one of the band members. It was the only concert ever by this band, which they played at the Dutch radioprogramm Spleen (presented by Ignit van Kasteren, of Ding Dong Records & Tapes) and contains some excellent music. In Spleen newsletter there was tape cover which you could cut out and so you had a releasen Trumpett release (trum 0020 actually).
