The album was enthusiastically received by the British press and public alike and established them as a progressive symphonic rock band. A year later, in 1970, the second album, Time and a World’, came out, featuring the same line-up. However, despite the success of this production, all was not well within the band and Peter Banks was kicked out and replaced by Steve Howe. In 1971, after the release of their third record, ‘The Yes Album’, the band went on tour for the first time in the . supporting Jethro Tull. Unfortunately, the tour was not as successful as had been expected and tension.
