His Roots Panorama project with Ripperton set the wheels in motion before he returned to his solo alias for the 'Theory Of Light' EP. Fast-forward six months, past the devious Seth Troxler 12" collaboration 'Love Song', and the Swiss DJ and producer's back on the label with 'The Believer', three belting tracks with plenty of vigour. The Believer is a direct homage to the classic sound of Detroit and Chicago, a testament to when these world beating genres fuse and collide in a tuff jam, full of swing, clout and hard groove. The track takes a skippy approach to the dance-floor, using a fluctuating melodic noise between staunch and punchy beats and double hand claps percussion on the break before hollowed out, bass timbres pulse as the track forms in different poly-rhythmic directions

Deetron - The Believer EP Just like a Deetron set, a Deetron track is glossy, professional and goes down easy. That's been the model for Samuel Geiser's Character label, too, which has so far hosted his own records and a collaboration with Ripperton. The Believer" is no different, though it comes with the dubious note that it's meant as a tribute to Detroit and Chicago. Mundane as that might sound, "The Believer" is a beautifully executed piece of uplifting house music. The Believer" seems engineered for maximum pleasure without being overbearing.
