An important influence for Sue The Night? Directly at the opening number one name imposes itself on Top Of Mind: Fleetwood Mac, particularly their song Big Love. The driving drumbeat, the vocals, everything is reminiscent of those hit by Fleetwood Mac. But you can have worse sources of inspiration. Sue The Night is the name under which the Haarlem Sallie the great hair music makes. After a few years in the singer/songwriter circuit, and a place in the final of the Grand Prix of Netherlands in 2011, know they are in 2014 in the Viewer to play at Radio 3FM with Top Of Mind. The cheerful single The Whale is then Megahit created by the radio station. Both songs can be found on Sue The Nights first full-length album Mosaic, which was produced by Linda van Leeuwen (Bombay Show Pig), Thijs van der Klugt (Baskerville) and Pascal Deweze (including Sukilove). They gave Mosaic a best firmly (indie) rock sound, with a striking number of percussion elements. It's a welcome sound amongst the many, often hushed singer-songwriters, and quite a number of good songs can Sue The Night so grow into more than a large Dutch promise.
