In the Shadows is the third full-length studio album by Mercyful Fate. It is also the first offering of the band since their reunion in 1992. It was released in 1993 on Metal Blade Records. Unlike previous Mercyful Fate albums, which were entirely centered around lyrical themes of Satanism and the Occult, the lyrics on this album are rather focused on more conceptual horror-themes, akin to King Diamond's work with his eponymous band.

As part of the Metal Blade Records Originals re-issue series the 'Mercyful Fate' album 'In The Shadows' from 1993 is re-released. Metal Blade, 180g black vinyl, reissue 2016, 400gsm heavy cardboard spine sleeve, inside out print, 250gsm lyric sheet, large poster (60x60). A most excellent album by Mercyful Fate, this version comes with a nice poster of the cover art. It sounds great if you're looking to complete your MF collection look no further this is a fine addition to your collection. ) m/ ps. I think it was just your copy man, mine came with lyrics. I'm sorry to hear that i hate when people lose them and still sell their copy and still charge the same amount as a version that has the lyrics.
