SBTRKT is the self-titled debut album of SBTRKT, project of British musician Aaron Jerome. Pitchfork placed the album at number 42 on its list of the "Top 50 albums of 2011". Living Like I Do" ft. Sampha was the first single which was released on 11 April 2011 on vinyl and as an download. The instrumental version was released previously, entitled 'Colonise' from the Step In Shadows - EP.

SBTRKT's debut album brought a much-needed dose of soul to electronic music. Drawing from house, . garage, R&B, and dubstep, the producer forged a style of after-hours club music that doesn't so much bang as purr, and the hushed vocals of collaborators-like Sampha, Jessie Ware, and Little Dragon-lend extra intimacy to his soft synths and spacious beats. One listen to the luscious low end on cuts like "Hold On" is enough to know why they call it "bass music.

Wonder Where We Land.

I saw SBTRKT way back in early 2012, fresh off of the release of the debut album. They played The Orpheum in Ybor City, and absolutely killed it. The disappointing part about this show was that the crowd was awful and boring, no one wanted to move or dance or have any fun. Didn't stop my friends and I from cutting rug on the floor, and with the way SBTRKT plays a show, I can't imagine doing anything else. I had a chance to see SBTRKT all together in Turin and it was great. Nevertheless I was positively surprised because the djset was fantastic. I danced all the time and also Pional made a great opening session.
