Forgotten Pathways is a medieval ambient, dungeon synth solo project from Germany, formed by Cedric Hommel. The first and so far only demo, "Shrouded in Mystery", was released in 1998. In 2015, Forgotten Pathways released his first full-length album, titled "A Long Way Home".

In 2014, Forgotten Pathways finally arose from it’s decade-long sleep. Nearly a year of composing and recording lead to the first album „A Long Way Home. Another large chunk of time was used to create the album artwork. That CD album marked a turn in the musical style of Forgotten Pathways. The tracks are a mix of Medieval Ambient and fairy-tale themes with a Musique Concrete-style of composition. The result are dark, surreal and lengthy songs with a psychedelic edge. The album was finished, but I postponed the release for several reasons, and after a while I found not all tracks release-worthy anymore. Some still are great in my opinion, and will possibly be released as an EP album
