The Sombrero Galaxy (also known as Messier Object 104, M104 or NGC 4594) is a lenticular galaxy in the constellation Virgo found . 5 Mpc (31,100,000 ly) from Earth.

Here's a team-up for the ages: Nina Kraviz with one of the pioneers of the ghetto house sound she loves so much. Lashing acid lines, repetitive vocals, powerful drums-this one's got it all. Tue, 25 Jun 2019. DJ Nobu - Peppercorns. Hypnotic, pulsating techno with insectoid high frequencies taken from the mind-melting new joint EP from DJ Nobu and Katsunori Sawa. Ada Kaleh - Chemare Cosmicã. Elliptical, groovy and polished Romanian house, like Rominimal crossed with some old Detroit techno and maybe even a dash of progressive house

heic1606 - Photo Release. Journey to the centre of our galaxy. Hidden in the centre of this cluster is the Milky Way’s resident supermassive black hole. Sagittarius A is not the only mystery lurking in this part of the galaxy. The crowded centre contains numerous objects that are hidden at visible wavelengths by thick clouds of dust in the galaxy’s disc.

Hubble easily resolves the Sombrero galaxy’s rich system of globular clusters, estimated to be nearly 2,000 in number - 10 times more than the number of globular clusters in our Milky Way galaxy. The ages of the clusters are similar to those in the Milky Way, ranging from 10-13 billion years old. Embedded in the bright core of M104 is a smaller disk (not visible in the image), which is tilted relative to the large disk. M104 is located 28 million light-years away in the constellation Virgo, and with a mass equal to 800 billion suns, it is one of the most massive objects in the Virgo galaxy cluster. M104 was discovered in 1781 by the French astronomer and comet hunter Pierre Méchain, one of Charles Messier’s colleagues. For more information about Hubble’s observation of M104, see

The Sombrero Galaxy is one of the most unusual looking barred spiral galaxies visible from Earth. Its bright nucleus, large central bulge and spiral arms threaded through with a thick dust lane make it look a little like a hat from Mexico. The dust lane is a ring that circles the bulge of the galaxy, and it is rich with gas, dust, and hydrogen gas. Because it has all the elements needed for star formation, it’s not surprising that astronomers have found many sites of star formation inside.

Of The Orb" opens with spoken words saying "Maybe this was all a dream" which is also quoted to end the recording. I can't get over the GENESIS vibe on this opener with the intricate guitar and Rikard mentioning the "Cinema show" and then later with the synths. A full sound kicks in after 1 1/2 minutes including more passionate vocals.

From sales notes... Prepare to enter the Sombrero Galaxy. "Journey To The Centre Of The Sun", the debut release from Lovefingers' highly anticipated imprint ESP Institute, is a collaborative effort from Londoner Jonny Nash (Discosession) and Dutchman Tako Reyenga. The two met years ago whilst Jonny was working and living in Tokyo and Tako made his way over to DJ. Around the same time, Lovefingers linked up with these two and a musical family had formed. That being told, its only natural for Sombrero Galaxy to find its home and represent the face of the ESP Insitute. "Journey To The Centre Of The Sun" is a dive into a moody, visceral and ethereal headspace brought to life through shimmering synthesizers, swirling guitars and a chugging bassline coupled with live percussion, clearly setting the bar higher than the bulk of contemporary electronic music. On the B-side, The Stallions (Lovefingers and Lee Douglas) reinterpret the track with optimism, nicely complimenting the original with a light and cloudy yet driving house version. This is the music of dreams, keep an eye on ESP Institute in this new decade.
