The Rapture is the 11th and final studio album by English alternative rock band Siouxsie and the Banshees. The songs with cello arrangements, including the title track as well as "Fall from Grace" and "Not Forgotten", were produced by the band on their own in 1993. Oh pull on the rein And haul me in back to the start Rebirthed in ecstasy with cherubim and seraphim When I was falling soaring so rhythmically Falling soaring Falling for you so completely. The Rapture" Track Info. Written By Siouxsie and the Banshees. Release Date January 16, 1995. The Rapture Siouxsie and the Banshees.
The last album that Siouxsie and the Banshees put out is like I said: simply epic. They are incredibly inventive, intense, and creative here. On some songs you can here them incorporate their punk roots more significantly and they also experiment further with synths and electronics to great benefit. There's only 2 songs that I think could've been left off that don't do much for the album as a whole and really aren't that great in my eyes: "O Baby" and "The Lonely One" . I would recommend this album to brand new listeners who might be considering Siouxsie and The Banshees for the first time. It's a great starters album.
