Scott was the début solo album by Scott Walker, originally released in the United Kingdom on Philips Records in 1967. The album received both strong commercial success as well as critical praise, hitting No. 3 on the UK Albums Chart. This album, alongside Scott 2, features Phil Spector's "Wall of Sound" recording technique, Scott 3 and Scott 4 however do not.

Solo John/Solo Scott is a split-EP by the American pop group The Walker Brothers members John Walker and Scott Walker. It was released in 1966 reached number four on the UK EP Chart. While the EP was released as two solo efforts due to it being released while the group was active it is generally categorised as a Walker Brothers release. The EP was produced by John Franz with musical accompaniment directed by Reg Guest. It is also notable as it includes the original Scott Walker composition "Mrs.

He lived in the United Kingdom from the 1960s until his death. His earliest material was released under his own name in the late 1950s. His most successful period in his career was between the years 1965 and 1970 where in he released three albums with The Walker Brothers, before going on to record a number of popular albums as a solo artist.

Scott Walker, renowned singer-songwriter and former member of The Walker Brothers, has died at age 76. While the cause of death is still unknown, the news was confirmed in a statement this morning by Walker’s label 4AD. Walker was born as Noel Scott Engel on January 9, 1943, in Hamilton, Ohio. While John Walker was initially the lead vocalist, the Scott Walker-led single Love Her became a hit in the UK and prompted the band’s record label Phillips to swap out Scott Walker as the band’s new vocalist. Scott Walker would live in the UK for the next five years and would obtain British citizenship in 1970. After contentious creative differences, The Walker Brothers broke up in 1968. Scott began his solo career near the end of the band’s tenure in 1967 with a prolific streak of records starting with his debut album Scott and releasing a new record each year after through 1970.

Scott Walker (Noel Scott Engel, January 9, 1943 - March 22, 2019) was an American-born singer-songwriter, composer and record producer. He is noted for his distinctive baritone voice and for the unorthodox career path which has taken him from 1960s pop icon to 21st century avant-garde musician. Originally coming to fame in the mid-1960s singing orchestral pop ballads as the frontman of The Walker Brothers, Walker went on to a solo career balancing a light entertainment/MOR ballad approach with increasing artistic innovations in arrangement and writing perspective.
