Dick Jensen/Dick Jensen has been added to your Cart. Immersing himself on native Hawaiian sounds and the Pop, Soul, Country and Rock music he heard on radio, it wasn't long before this Blue-Eyed Soul vocalist began to catch attention across the music world. Jensen found himself signed to the legendary Philadelphia International Records in 1972. The following year, backed by the insatiable PIR house band MFSB, Jensen released this debut, which features the incredible 'New York City's A Lonely Town' and many more great.

Dick Jensen, my uncle was not only the original designer of the Serpentine lettering (which he designed for the Visual Graphics Corporation, and is today a trademark of VGC), but he was also an accomplished commercial artist, wood carver and painter. Over the years Dick worked as a commercial artist at Artist In. K&K Freelancer, Studio One, and for Tanaka Advertising before retiring in 1998. He won an art award during his career. Unfortunately, my uncle Dick Jensen just passed away this last June 29, 2000 peacefully at home from colon cancer in Edina, Minnesota
