Following his 1986 album for Dossier, Dinner at Eight, keyboardist Wayne Horvitz regrouped three of the same personnel, added three more, and released this recording under his own name. He would subsequently take the title The President as the group name for the subsequent album, Bring Yr Camera. All clear? The President follows several precepts of the earlier album, especially with regard to Horvitz' penchant for writing tasty, almost poppy (and often funky) melodies and fleshing them out with slightly off-kilter instrumental elaborations.

From a Window is an album by American keyboardist and composer Wayne Horvitz's Four Plus One Ensemble recorded in 2000 and released on the Japanese Avant label.
