This two-fer from Wounded Bird features a pair of out of print LPs by country singer/songwriter Eddie Rabbitt: Eddie Rabbitt and Rabbitt both originally issued on Elektra in 1975 and 1977, respectively. Highlights among the 21 pop-country tracks include "I Can't Help Myself," "Savin' My Love for My Baby," and the Rabbitt penned "Pure Love," which became a hit for Ronnie Milsap.

Eddie Rabbitt made quite a career out of singing songs that fit comfortably on both AC and Country stations. Hits like "Gone Too Far" and "I Love A Rainy Night" were played on both and received with much enthusiasm. To my knowledge, Rabbitt was never considered a sell out. Perhaps this is because he consistently churned out songs like "Suspicions" that fit perfectly on AC radio and then turned around and made Country greats like "Drivin' My Life Away" and "Rocky Mountain Music. My only complaint is I wish the album, Eddie Rabbitt, had been paired with his second album, Rocky Mountain Music.
