Described as "The Krautful Dead", Lorde Awesome's sound ranges between harsh noise and minimalist drones, with nods to early 70's Berlin; all analogue, all monophonic. Lorde Awesome began their monthly residency at Toronto's Only Cafe, on May 5th, 2011; the night is known as In-Between Sounds. The band has existed since July, 2008.

Lorde Awesome is an improvisational music/video collective centered around Avery Strok. Founded in 2008 with the express purpose of "creating new sounds", their collected works run the gamut from white noise to heady celestial trip-outs. birth, decay and rebirth. We’re sonic explorers, flipped on our sides, reversed and slowed down.

Though tinged by the sadness of a recent event, we will try to make this an uplifting evening.

Lorde co-wrote Green Light with Jack Antonoff and Joel Little, her primary collaborator on Pure Heroine. She co-produced the track with Antonoff and Frank Dukes.
