The Classic Interview. Band Name Keith Richards. Album Name The Classic Interview.

The Classic Interview by Keith Richards. Not quite ‘classic’ but good for a laugh. RC contributor Kris Needs picked a great (second) time to interview Keith Richards. This growing tension is touched upon almost as soon as the interview starts and, from thereon in, there’s plenty to interest the Stones fan – not least the tale that Ronnie Wood fancied Boy George until George turned out to be a man, or Richards’ dissection of the contemporary music scene. For the most part, however, Stones fans will love it, for a one-time listen at least

Keith Richards on Going Solo, and Why It Made Him Appreciate Mick Jagger. The guitarist goes deep on the X-Pensive Winos’ underrated 1988 classic ‘Talk Is Cheap,’ which has just been reissued. Keith Richards goes deep on his newly reissued 1988 solo LP 'Talk is Cheap,' and why making the album made him appreciate Mick Jagger. Paul Natkin/WireImage. In 1986, the future of the Rolling Stones was uncertain. Instead of hitting the road for the band’s new album Dirty Work, Mick Jagger went out as a solo act. So Keith Richards did something he’d always resisted: He started a new band. The guitarist gathered a group of friends he called the X-Pensive Winos and holed up in a Quebec studio to cut Talk Is Cheap, which mixed Memphis soul, reggae and early rock

Keith Richards Recalls the Genesis of Three Classic Tunes. The Rolling Stones guitarist and style icon discusses the meaning behind some of the legendary band's biggest hits. As Told To Brooke Mazurek. Keith Richards, photographed by Peter Lindbergh. There are only two kinds of songs, honey, growls Keith Richards. The beautifully smooth ones that are plainly obvious when they come to you, and the ones that give you a hard time

Keith Richards (born 18 December 1943) is an English musician, singer, and songwriter, best known as the co-founder, guitarist, secondary vocalist, and co-principal songwriter of the Rolling Stones

As one half of the fabled Glimmer Twins, Keith Richards doesn't make many solo albums. Still, it could be argued that one of them helped save the Rolling Stones. His gold-selling 'Talk is Cheap' LP arrived in 1988 as the Stones were at a low ebb, and sparked Richards' first-ever solo tour. Not long after, Richards reunited with a suitably impressed Mick Jagger, though a second Richards project followed in 1990.

Keith Richards released his first solo album in 1988. Its remarkable that it took Keith Richards that long to release a solo album. In releasit it really was a testament to Keith Richards dedication to the Rolling Stones. It seems it was always Keith Richards that wanted to continue to tour with The Rolling Stones and record new material. The issues was always Mick Jagger. Supposably there were many arguments between Keith Richards and Mick Jagger over taking The Rolling Stones out on the road and recording new music. Nonetheless, just the fact that the band The Rolling Stones does occasionally go out on tour and release new music is better than a complete break up. In the end, while Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts are still alive, we will probably see another return of The Rolling Stones again. There is just too much money to be made for the band if they return to the road.
