Horrendous mixes HM-2 sound with unique melody and solos creating memorable and terrific songwriting. This is no "retro" band but a band that has clearly created a nine-song death metal masterpiece ending with the epic nine-minute closer "The Eye of Madness

Horrendous has birthed debut The Chills. It's the best one since Disma hit us last year. Horrendous seem to have tapped into my subconscious and then extracted exactly what I want out of an old school focused death metal album in the modern era. Loads of atmosphere, growling and riffing circa the Floridian forebears like late 80s Death or the Dutch maestros Pestilence from the same era. Voracious, wild leads and oodles of melodies being constantly strewn out into the bleak and apocryphal, rotting skyline implied on the cover art.

Horrendous is one of the best death metal bands that I’ve heard in a long time. For someone so fresh they definitely have clamped down on that old school metal vibe and have mastered it with no problem. Other productions from Horrendous.

Horrendous is an American death metal band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The band has released four full-length studio albums to date, the most recent being Idol, released through Season of Mist on September 28, 2018. The band was formed by Damian Herring and brothers Matt and Jamie Knox in 2009, with bassist Alex Kulick joining the band in 2016.
