Information on Japan Blues.

Japan Blues is the project of Howard Williams, an Englishman who has spent much of the past 20 years holed up in the low-ceilinged basement of 278 Portobello Road in London, working at the heart of the Honest Jon's distribution department. His Japan Blues show for NTS Radio has been running for three years, though his love of Asian music dates back much further. In 2009 and 2011 he released Japan-themed mixtapes for The Trilogy Tapes.

The second album on Howard Williams' Japan Blues record label is an album by Osaka artist Iku Sakan titled Prism In Us All. Sakan has spent much of the past ten years living in Berlin, where he's been known to play steel drums in Görlitzer Park. Williams describes Sakan's improvisatory work as "a kind of metaphysical music, with circular rhythms and an emotive, melodic feel

i must admit that every japan blues appearance is inspiring...even his nts radio show- and tape cover pics....and i wanna say thank you for connecting all of us with those hidden and undiscovered compositions via your edits..... i thought about it and i see it now with different eyes...in reggae its usual to share riddims why not in electronica aswell...peace out

I wonder what every label says about every edit ever made: probably not much.

The Japan Blues material are edits as with his first release 'The Brasserie Heroique Edits". Of course they would have a similarity. It's an edit

It's 'Beak' but I'm shocked at the similarity of these two songs. Wonder what the label has to say..?
