Neils Children are a British band, formed in 1999 by John Linger and Brandon Jacobs. The group have covered much ground in their 14 year+ career, including bringing British post-punk back to the fore with singles such as 'Come Down', 'I Hate Models' and top 60 UK chart single 'Always The Same'. From 2007 onwards, the groups sound developed into a more pop savvy style in the mould of Orange Juice and Josef K when in 2009 the band announced a hiatus. A new non-album single 'The Highs and Lows' followed the album in November 2013, with the group announcing new recordings for 2014.

Neils Children are an English three-piece garage punk outfit who formed in 1999 at Harlow College in Essex, where members John Linger (guitar/vocals), Brandon Jacobs (drums) and Tom Hawkins (bass/vocals) were then studying. The band's name came from Linger's obsession with 1960s proto-punk band John's Children; 'Neil' was the nickname of bassist Hawkins. Primarily playing freakbeat-inspired music, the band performed several gigs on the London Mod scene as well as performing in the Harlow Square Rock Contest.
