Francisco Gustavo Sánchez Gomes (21 December 1947 – 25 February 2014), known as Paco de Lucía, was a Spanish virtuoso flamenco guitarist, composer, and record producer. A leading proponent of the new flamenco style, he was one of the first flamenco guitarists to branch into classical and jazz.

This collection is a unique tour of the work of Paco de Lucia from 1964 to 2004. Zyryab -blackbird- nickname given to the Baghdadi-Cordoban Abu Al-Hasan Ali Ibn Nafi who lived between the years of 789 and 857 AD and decisively influenced the development of traditional Arab music on the Iberian peninsula.

El Tajo Paco de Lucía – Flamenco guitar. Here is a guitar only cd, that apparently is not listened to as much as many of Paco's latter recordings. If I am not mistaken Paco was about 19 years old when this was released. His early influnces are on this recording. This is more "traditional" Flamenco guitar playing than on his later recordings. The Bulerias for example uses more of the A-B flat chord changes than later Paco recordings of the same form. Nino Ricardo's influence is evident here
