Quaye 's heady blend of dub, reggae, rock, and trip-hop won him a sizable following on the strength of a handful of hits, some of which ("Sunday Shining" and "Even After All") appeared on his 1997 debut. Later singles like "Spiritualized," "Dice," and "This Is How I Feel" reflected his gradual shift into ult alternative rock territory. Fans looking to avoid picking up Quaye 's three full-length releases (which were arguably spotty) would do well with The Epic Years.
