Gold is a compilation album from the Irish band The Cranberries, released as part of Universal Music's Gold series. The liner notes indicate on page six that the album was originally going to feature a 16th track on disc two, taken from Dolores O'Riordan's solo album Are You Listening?.

Something Else is the seventh studio album by alternative rock band The Cranberries, released on 28 April 2017, through BMG. The album, which features "unplugged" and orchestral versions of ten previously released singles and three new songs, was recorded at the Irish Chamber Orchestra Building, the University of Limerick, Ireland. The album cover is a re-enactment of the front cover image of the band's 1994 album No Need to Argue with the four members each in exactly the same positions.

The Cranberries were an Irish rock band formed in Limerick, Ireland in 1989 by lead singer Niall Quinn, guitarist Noel Hogan, bassist Mike Hogan, and drummer Fergal Lawler. Quinn was replaced as lead singer by Dolores O'Riordan in 1990. The band officially classify themselves as an alternative rock group, but incorporate aspects of indie pop, post-punk, Irish folk, and pop rock into their sound.

I miss her awfully, specially today, as does the entire family. We knew this had to be one of the, if not the, best Cranberries album that we could possibly do, Hogan added. The worry was that we would destroy the legacy of the band by making an album that wasn’t up to standard. Once we had gone through all the demos that Dolores and I had worked on and decided that we had such a strong album we knew it would be the right thing and the best way that we could honor Dolores.
