In comparison to their debut album, this EP is a real letdown for me. The weird personality and eccentricity seem to have melted away-or at least get a cover-up from all the new instrumentation on these tracks.

Broken Dreams Club is an EP and the second release by indie rock band Girls, released on November 22, 2010 on True Panther Sounds. The EP was announced in a handwritten letter written by Girls frontman Christopher Owens. Owens described Broken Dreams Club as a "snapshot of the horizon" and "a taste of things to come. Broken Dreams Club was the first Girls release to feature a full band (Girls was previously a collaboration between Owens and JR White).

Horns, pedal steel, and electric piano round out the title track Broken Dreams Club, and The Oh so Protective One is practically a flamenco take on Roy Orbison. The EP standout, Heartbreaker, fits closest with the material on Album.

The album has been mixed by Chris Coady (BEACH HOUSE, GRIZZLY BEAR, TV ON THE RADIO), and is the band's most defining work to date. Fusing relentless hands-in-the-air club rhythms with shimmering melodies, 'Subiza' is the record it took Delorean ten years to evolve into.
