Rocket Cottage is an album by British folk rock band Steeleye Span. This was the band's ninth album, and the second produced by Mike Batt. It was hopedthat the album would cement the band's popular and commercial success, building on their breakthrough into the UK Top 10 with their previous album All Around My Hat and its title track, which reached on the UK singles chart.

That was unfortunate because Rocket Cottage remains one of the strongest yet most unappreciated of Steeleye's catalog. Their knack for adapting English folk songs to rock & roll has never been more adeptly executed than on this record.

Steeleye Span had its commercial breakout success in 1975 with "All Around My Hat", both the single and the album of the same name. Their next effort, 1976's "Rocket Cottage tanked commercially, and I could not understand then, and cannot now, why. As a whole, I find this album more enjoyable that "All Around My Hat".
