Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers is the debut album by the band of the same name, released on November 9, 1976 by Shelter Records. The album was recorded and mixed at the Shelter Studio in Hollywood, California. Initially following its release, the album received little attention in the United States.

The album is the bands first full album with bassist Ron Blair since 1981s Hard Promises, in November 2009, Petty told Rolling Stones David Fricke that it was his intention to record the album live in the studio without overdubs. Youre Gonna Get It. is the second album by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, released in 1978. Originally, the album was to be titled Terminal Romance, like its self-titled predecessor, this album includes tight melodic songs awash in ringing guitars and organ.

Playback is a box set compilation by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, released in 1995. It contains popular album tracks, B-sides, previously unreleased outtakes, and early songs by Petty's previous band Mudcrutch.
