This album is dedicated to Keith Moon. These live tracks were recorded at Radio City Music Hall, New York, Universal Amphitheatre, Los Angeles and various other concerts during the US Tour 1989.

JOIN TOGETHER was a boxed album package of the 1989 reunion tour, designed as a memento of that tour. It features Pete, Roger and John augmented by many other musicians – two drummers, keyboards, an extra guitarist, brass section and choir – recorded live in America. The first half of the double album features a selection of Tommy songs, followed by Who hits in the second and, for the first time on record, a Pete solo song, ROUGH BOYS, performed by the band.

Ev'rybody join together Won't you join together Come on and join together with the band We need to join together Won't you join together Come on and join together with the band. About Join Together. While the song was released in 1972, it was composed earlier (1970) to be part of the Who’s second rock opera, the Lifehouse project, that never materialized. Many of the songs were included in their Who’s Next album, but Join Together was released nearly a year later as a non-album single. It has only appeared on compilation albums.
