Redirected from Coastal (Godstar album)). Godstar were a psychedelic pop band which formed in 1991. The group's founding mainstay, Nic Dalton, is a t who was also in Sneeze and The Lemonheads, and ran the Half a Cow record label. Other long term members were Allison Galloway on drums (ex-Jupiter) and Tom Morgan (also in Sneeze) on bass guitar and vocals.

In 1997 a compilation album, September, was issued by Godstar Reminder; it was a collection of otherwise unreleased tracks, including some solo work by Dalton  . Four Seventy – Bus Stop BUS 37 (1994) Singles.

Adopting a revolving door policy on members Godstar released two EPs before issuing their debut album Sleeper. After several more EPs and singles, the group's second album, Coastal, was a more diverse affair conceived while Dalton traveled the world as bassist for the Lemonheads.

This foursome also released the 7" Four Seventy EP in 1994 on the small . label Bus Stop Records. The EP featured four tracks, with each bandmember contributing one song. The second Godstar album Coastal was released in 1995 by Half A Cow Records. In late 1996, Dalton decided to retire Godstar so he could devote more time to other projects, including the still-thriving Half A Cow Records.
