Before you go about and yell that nothing ever happens in , I'm going to have to argue against that and bring up the point of the three piece tour.

In the four and a half years between albums, Adelaide’s Grenadiers have been through the ringer more times than a band deserves, hitting Chumbawamba-level proportions of getting knocked down and getting back up again. Vocalist and guitarist Jesse Coulter found himself the only remaining member of the band, leaving him to rebuild from the ground up. With the release of Summer, Coulter and co have not only launched themselves back into the stratosphere with a vengeance, they’ve also managed to surpass their previous work entirely.

Get toasty to Grenadiers and Summer, one of the best rock albums to come out this year. Frantic punk rock at its best. The Adelaide three piece can be summed up in two words; punk and rock. That’s about all you need to know really. Their sophomore album, Summer came kicking and screaming into the world in January. It was naked covered in sweat and blood, and by God it was beautiful. The thing with punk rock albums is that they rarely have the capacity to last much longer than a few months. It’s in the nature of the music; it moves quickly while flipping both birds and giving zero fucks.

For over seven years, Grenadiers punk/rock straddling fury has seen them rise above the tangle of middle-of-the-road domestic rock. The trio emerged victorious to claim triple j feature album status for their acclaimed 2nd LP 'Summer' last year, touring nationally with punk legends Millencolin and Shihad and decamping to the UK to dominate at The Great Escape.
