Everything Must Go. Bottom of the Morning. This is a new, unopened CD in its original packaging.
Pinkish Black formed after Tommy Atkins, Beck and Teague’s bandmate in The Great Tyrant, committed suicide. That alone would be enough to set any bands back on their heels, but the years since then haven’t been easy either.
750 copies pressed on Brown, Beer Yellow Standard Gram. Recorded by Matthew Barnhart at The Echo Lab, Argyle, Texas, February 2015.
Artist: Pinkish Black. Album: Bottom Of The Morning. Style: Psychedelic Rock. Format: MP3 320Kbps, FLAC. Previously on NewAlbumReleases. net: June 14, 2019 - Pinkish Black – Concept Unification (2019).
Bottom of the Morning is Texas duo PINKISH BLACK's third album and Relapse debut. From the gothic, horror-movie-esque organ intro of opener Brown Rainbow to the wistful, fuzzed-out conclusion of final track The Master Is Away, Bottom of the Morning is simultaneously dark and catchy, dissonant and melodic, smothering audiences with heavy layers of distorted, repressive gloom that still end up as earworms despite their pessimism. It’s like if Mike Patton’s subconscious got into a knife fight with Goblin.
Pinkish Black is an American experimental rock band formed shortly after the suicide of Tommy Atkins, past bassist of the predecessor, The Great Tyrant. On May 5, 2012, their debut self-titled album was released. Their second album was released September 17, 2013. On February 23, 2010, The Great Tyrant bassist, Tommy Atkins killed himself in a bathroom.
Pinkish Black swings moods like none other. Since 2010, the Fort Worth, Texas, duo has stuck to synths, drums and Daron Beck's Gothic croon without the urge to expand - but it evolves expansively anyway. Bottom Of The Morning, the band's third record, all but abandons Pinkish Black's previous metallic tendencies for the eerie heft of '70s Italian horror-movie soundtracks (think Goblin or Ennio Morricone on a sinister jazz kick). The nine-minute title track runs through a woozy left-hand boogie, washed over with synths and Jon Teague's breathy drumming until the doomy,.
