Unfold The Future is a music studio album recording by THE FLOWER KINGS (Symphonic Prog/Progressive Rock) released in 2002 on cd, lp, vinyl and/or cassette. The biggest problem I have with Unfold the Future, or any TFK album for that matter, is the lyrics. What should be heart-felt comes off as sappy or juvenile. Jon Anderson seems to serve as the blueprint from which the Kings find inspiration with overtly spiritual, often mystic words that leave me thinking "bad poetry" as opposed to enlightened.

Unfold the Future is the Flower Kings' eighth studio album (counting guitarist Roine Stolt's initial solo disc that christened the band), and their third double-CD set in ten years. By now they have released 13 hours of material. It took Genesis a quarter of a century to do the same. Are the Swedish guys doing too much? Astonishingly, no. Unfold the Future is a strong album, better than its predecessor, The Rainmaker

Exclusively for Prime members. The overall result is challenging, and yet there are enough fine moments that I'd call this the Kings' best album since "Stardust We Are," although it doesn't compare with that masterpiece or its predecessors. And the powerful guest vocals of Pain of Salvation's Daniel Gildenlow are a terrific addition!
