The album’s namesake, The World of Adventures, drifts in like a sneaky, dark shadow before spotlights illuminate the room in the form of Roine’s sledgehammer guitar and dense, stacked vocals cleverly fashioned into a tongue-in-cheek 50s Sci-fi kind of nostalgic motif. Stolt’s aptitude for melody becomes evident very quickly as the memorable verse/chorus that includes the tell-tale line of we’re children of the Woodstock nation/lost in peace and contemplation rings out in three-part harmony. There’s an effortless flow running through this song that incorporates the big bass tone of Michael.

The Flower Kings are a Swedish progressive rock band formed in 1994 by guitarist and singer-songwriter Roine Stolt. The group began as Stolt's touring band to support his third solo album The Flower King. They continued performing after the tour and have gone on to become one of the most prolific studio recording units in progressive rock, having released nearly twenty hours of music spread across twelve studio albums

The 1990s was a great decade for more progressive rock and metal revitalization. So, there are places in the album that may be questionable. Other than that, Back in the World of Adventures is mostly composed of good elements. One nice factor is that Stolt is continuing to improve both his vocals and his guitar playing from his previous works. He adds more emotion into his voice and puts more of a mood to his guitar melodies.

His 2018 album, garnered with artwork by Shaun Beyond, is a celebration of all the styles that have been part of the colorful, daring and dynamic songwriting and arrangements, Roine masters like no other yet also offers a more immediate, more hands on approach. Like that first TFK album, I’m the main lead vocalist here again - it works as these lyrics are important to me and resonate with my view of the world. And, Roine will take this album as well as classics from the The Flower Kings’ catalogue on stage! I am excite that the album will be released in November this year and at the same time will be in South America playing The Flower Kings music with a band that also includes Hasse Froberg & Jonas Reingold and also introduces two younger friends; Zach Kamins on keyboards and Mirko DiMaio on drums - both fabulous musicians.
