A Gentle Reminder is the second full-length album from American indie rock band, The Jealous Sound. Released after a long hiatus, the recording is the band's second full-length album and followed the 2003 debut album, Kill Them with Kindness. Following the band's move to the roster of Rise Records, an independent record label based in Portland, Oregon, United States (US), a reissue of the album was released on February 5, 2013

This is ultra-catchy emo-punkish-pop with clever lyrics, full production and Blair's undeniably warm and inviting vocals it's a stunning album and gets caught in my head for days. I hope they're still touring (come to Minneapolis) and making music!!!!

It has been a few years since The Jealous Sound have released a new album–was A Gentle Reminderworth the wait? The album drops January 31st and you can pick it up here! Let’s do some music math and see how we can break this down for you. Snow Patrol.

The Jealous Sound A Gentle Reminder. After 9 years of waiting i am extremley pleased with this album. They pick up right where they left off. There are a few things I don't enjoy too much: (1) the back ground vocals on the last track, not a huge fan of, it sounds like Gaslight Anthem and (2) there are a few moments on tracks where there is a lot going on and you lose some of the quality and can't hear everything well. Overall 4 out 5 stamp for me!

Though not quite worthy of a nine-year wait, A Gentle Reminder does live up to the promise of its title, proving that the wait hasn't compromised the Jealous Sound's quality or vision and, well, reminding listeners why they were so eager for the band to return in the first place.

One of the best LP's of the last decade, this band, like Knapsack before them, managed to create a rabid cult following, but never cracked a larger audience, which is baffling. This is ultra-catchy emo-punkish-pop with clever lyrics, full production and Blair's undeniably warm and inviting vocals. Perfect for both break-ups and new loves, for a night out at the bars stuck in chemicals and whiskey, or a night at home with the cats, tofu tacos and green tea...it's a stunning album and gets caught in my head for days. I recommend the deluxe edition as you get the brilliant 'Got Friends,' and a 4 more add-ons....I hope they're still touring (come to Minneapolis) and making music!!!!
