Description

Guitar Paradise of East Africa.

My arrangement for Classical Guitar. I think this piece fits well for the guitar.

This is indeed a CD of 1970s-80s East African guitar bands, but these guys play with little sustain, and despite the length of some of the cuts, these guys are a lot closer to Joe Pass or Chet Atkins than Jimi Hendrix - . don't expect rock guitar "heroics. Or histrionics either, for that matter. Instead, this is benga, a heavily style.

So I guess it's benga, a beat/genre/label even more all-embracing than the soukous it cheerfully lifts. Though at times the guitaristics billow like Kinshasa, they're gentler, quirkier, more rural-and they're not definitive, because this is a song album. Nasally conversational or breathily musical, the voices get catchy to impossibly fetching melodies, and though only one band can afford horns, that band comes up with a great chart-a great cheesy chart.

For something religious, the Anglican Cathedral, constructed in the 1870s is a must, as well as being the first Anglican Cathedral in East Africa. Hamamni Persian Baths could be your next stop, built on the end of 1800’s, were used as public baths open to both men and women. For something more peaceful, you can visit the Changuu Island or the Chumbe Island with a tour, to swim, snorkel and sunbathe. The Changuu Island is a tropical paradise that’s home to the giant Aldabra tortoise. The Chumbe Island is home to 2 historic buildings, a lighthouse and a small mosque.

Nice selection of guitars obviously however you will also dig the Orange and Blackstar stacks! This is a must go guitar shop. They've done work on a few of my old guitars and do a great job for an affordable price.

This Side of Paradise is the second solo studio album released by Ric Ocasek, lead singer and songwriter of The Cars. It was released in 1986 by Geffen Records. Though it was a solo album, other members of The Cars played significant roles. Greg Hawkes plays keyboards and bass throughout the album (he appears on most of Ocasek's solo albums), and also co-wrote "Hello Darkness" (most Cars albums feature one Ocasek/Hawkes tune). Benjamin Orr is on backing vocals for three songs

Gangsta's Paradise is the second studio album by rapper Coolio, released on November 21, 1995. It is Coolio's best-selling album, with over three million copies sold in the United States. The album produced three singles, which became hits: the title track (which was first used in the 1995 film Dangerous Minds, released before Coolio's album), "1, 2, 3, 4 (Sumpin' New)", and "Too Hot".
