Here to Hear is the 15th album by rock band Wishbone Ash. Since the band's last album (1987's Nouveau Calls) was all instrumental, Here to Hear marks the first Wishbone Ash studio album with vocals to feature the original line-up since 1973's Wishbone Four. It also marks the final album to feature longtime drummer Steve Upton, and by extension, the final album to feature all four original members. The album contains songs written and sung by founding members Martin Turner and Ted Turner.

Wishbone Ash is the first studio album by Wishbone Ash. It peaked at number 29 in the UK Albums Chart in January 1971. The band opened for Deep Purple in early 1970. Deep Purple guitarist Ritchie Blackmore was jamming during the band's soundcheck when Wishbone guitarist Andy Powell joined in and began jamming with Blackmore. After the show, Blackmore recommended that MCA Records sign the band.
Here To Hear is the best of the three; Nouveau Calls is all instumental and a good album, but without vocals doesn't have all the Ash elements, and the songwriting on Strange Affair is weaker than Here To Hear. Classic Ash fans may not like the 1980s sound of the albums, but the playing, sound quality and production on all three albums are great. SouthSideoftheSky SPECIAL COLLABORATOR Symphonic Team. This is a pretty good Wishbone Ash album in the same style as No Fire Without Smoke from 1978
