Don Quixote is Canadian singer Gordon Lightfoot's 8th original album, released in 1972 on the Reprise Records Label. The album reached on the Billboard album chart. The album contains little innovation on Lightfoot's trademark folk sound, although it is notable for containing Lightfoot's third seafaring song, "Christian Island (Georgian Bay)" (his first two being "Marie Christine" from Back Here on Earth and "Ballad of Yarmouth Castle" from Sunday Concert).

Similar to Don Quixote but without STEREO appearing on the labels. All selections published by Moose Music (CAPAC) except "Alberta Bound" and "Looking at the Rain," published by Early Morning Music (CAPAC) and "On Susan's Floor," published by Jack Music, Inc. (BMI). Lightfoot had an urge to return to his more 'acoustic guitar' sound and this album is built on the trio sound that made Lightfoot's reputation. There are additions to the sound but this has much more the feel of the 'If you could read my mind' album and is comparable in style. Excellent songs again - 'Christian Island', 'Alberta Bound' and 'Ode to Big Blue' standing out along with ' Looking at the Rain' that Eric Clapton recorded for the Slowhand sessions.
