Love Bomb is the fourth album released in 1975 by the British singer-songwriter Lynsey de Paul, and her second album released on Jet Records in the UK and Polydor in Germany, Australia and Japan. In the US and Canada, it was released in January 1976 on Mercury Records. The album was recorded at the Marquee Studios, London, England, produced by de Paul and arranged by Tony Hymas, with Terry Cox playing drums, John Dean percussion, Chris Rea guitar and Frank McDonald bass.

Lynsey de Paul obituary. Singer, composer and the first female musician to win an Ivor Novello award. After graduation, she worked as a commercial artist and designer of album sleeves while honing her skills as a songwriter. In 1971, De Paul signed a contract with the music publisher ATV Kirshner. There she became a prolific composer, often writing in partnership with other ATV staff such as Blue and Ron Roker. Her earliest songs to be recorded were sung by the child actor Jack Wild, but the first to be a hit was the Roker-Rubin number Storm in a Teacup by the Fortunes in 1972.

Lynsey de Paul is an award winning songwriter, producer and presenter. She is widely known throughout the media, music industry and to the general public. She has extensive experience in most aspects of the music and entertainment industries. Lynsey has made innumerable television and radio guest appearances in programmes for music, to variety, drama to news including in Stephen Fry’s ITV drama series ‘Kingdom’ and the BBC current affairs programme Any Questions. The album charted in the US and the UK. and has recently been re-released as The Beatles and World War II on CD. That same year she co-wrote the song "Don't You Remember When" for Dame Vera Lynn, after guesting on her show and being impressed by how long Vera could hold a single note for - indeed the song features such a long note at the very end.

This unlikely coupling came about as a result of "Dedicated" being based on a song, Lynsey wrote called "All I Am", with new text being supplied by Buddha Monk. In 1981 she released a single that was co-written with Sue Shifrin, entitled "Strange Changes". Recognizing Lynsey's passion for helping young women in to the music industry, this career-developing prize has been set up to help emerging female singer-songwriters.
