David Sneddon (born 15 September 1978) is a Scottish singer, songwriter, musician and music producer of contemporary pop music. He went on in 2002 to win the first series of the BBC's music competition Fame Academy. He released his first single "Stop Living the Lie" in 2003 which was a number one hit single selling over 250,000 copies, making it the 12th highest selling single of 2003. In 2006, Sneddon started writing and recording for a new solo album. In July he showcased his songs in a series of acoustic gigs with Kielty on guitar in London, Essex and Scotland. In an interview for FPR Radio in October 2006, he said "It's not what people are expecting, I'm trying something a bit different.

This time, we sort through the best and worst of the eternal Starman. Back in the 1999, my older brother worked with Virgin Records, and in lieu of actual payment of money, it seemed like he was compensated exclusively in CDs. And hey, that was cool. He scored tons of Astralwerks artists, dozens of Lenny Kravitz’s 5 album, and, best and perhaps most educationally of all, the complete, digitally remastered studio record re-releases of every David Bowie album up to that point. Post-Earthling, Bowie was still relevant and selling. The Thin White Duke was hot.
Stop Living The Lie. This song is by David Sneddon and appears on the album Seven Years - Ten Weeks (2003).
Here, let’s play a game. Try to imagine David Bowie’s entire career as a single line (it’s a long line). Our line follows him from song to song, album to album, through every character he’s ever created, every look he’s stumbled onto, or invented, or borrowed, every musical style he’s played.
He won over the judges and viewers quickly and impressed them with his renditions of Elton John's Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me and I Don't Want To Talk About It by Danny Whitten
