CSNY 1974 is the nineteenth album by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, their seventh in the quartet configuration, and their fifth live album, the third as a foursome. Issued on Rhino Records in 2014, it consists of concert material recorded in 1974 on the band's tour during the summer of that year.

Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. Big bucks were the reason the CSNY 1974 tour even existed. Efforts to record a new album in 1973, their first since 1970's breakthrough Déjà Vu, collapsed but manager Elliot Roberts and promoter Bill Graham convinced the group to stage the first outdoor stadium tour in the summer of 1974, with the idea that CSNY would test-drive new material in concert, then record a new studio album in the fall, or maybe.

Producer – Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. Recorded By – Denny Purcell, Gene Eichelberger. Recorded By – John Flores, Russ Gary. Each print is numbered to match the Box Set. This set is limited to 1000 copies, individually numbered. Never before released CSNY’s 1974 Stadium Tour Live Concert Recordings. The vinyl is stored in a custom record folio. The entire set (6-Vinyl, Blu-Ray, DVD and a 12"x12" hardbound book are housed in a custom laser-etched birch wood box. 1000 copies, All the recordings come from the Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young archives.

CSNY 1974 (Selections). Go to artist profile. Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young is a folk-rock supergroup formed when Crosby, Stills & Nash (Stephen Stills of Buffalo Springfield, David Crosby from the Byrds, and Graham Nash from the Hollies) asked Neil Young, also of Buffalo Springfield to join them in 1969 and form "Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young". Commonly referred to by their initials CSNY, the band is primarily known for their four-part vocal harmonies. They were one of the few North American groups that rivaled the Beatles in popularity in the late 1960s and early 1970s.

CSNY 1974' contains three discs of audio with 40 different tracks along with a fourth DVD/Blu-ray disc of eight performances and a 188-page book. Rolling Stone says that there will also be a one-CD, 16-song distillation of the box, and a 12-song version sold exclusively at Starbucks. Word of the live collection first came out three years ago when it was discussed by Graham Nash and David Crosby. We recorded nine of the 35 stadium shows we did, remarked Nash. We have about 42 songs and we’re busy mixing them. We have about 12 to 15 mixes under our belt.

They recreated the three-hour-plus concert experience, assembling -to-electric sets that rely surprisingly little on the CSNY catalog and more on the individual solo accomplishments and new material that was being written. While the four men soon grew disenchanted with each other and the tour itself, these recordings point out an exquisite rock ’n’ roll musicianship second to none, as Stephen Stills and Neil Young go toe to toe on electric guitars and join with David Crosby and Nash for the harmonies

Crosby Stills Nash & Young-Deja Vu 45th Anniversary-David,Stephen,Graham,Neil 2-16 The stories behind history's greatest rock bands.

CSNY’s Doom Tour exhumed, and reconstructed into an ideal show from their stadium excursio. o call this live compilation from CSNY’s 1974 tour long-awaited is, on one level, an act of revisionism  . In spring 1973, they had made an unsuccessful attempt at recording an album in Hawaii, where David Crosby’s schooner was moored, moving on to Young’s Broken Arrow ranch, but the results were unsatisfactory.

fingers crossed this will be re released on vinyl...in 2024 :-D by then many ex-hippies/yuppies pensioners will be dead and only people from my generation (remember student loans, remember the subprime crisis scam?...) will be able to buy it, they won't have any other choice than cut the slack on prices, except if the salaries goes up,which is very unlikely
