This is the 50th Anniversary of the cinematic James Bond film series and it would have been nice to have integrated familiar cuts and snippets of the melodies associated with the hallmark James Bond sound and theme interpolated throughout and still musically represent each film from DR. NO up to and including QUANTUM OF SOLACE.

as Miss Moneypenny said in DR. NO, the very first James Bond film adventure. This 2-disc set is a must for any major James Bond film fan. Disc 1 contains the opening theme songs to all the first 16 films from DR. NO to LICENCE TO KILL. The songs were recorded in December 1992 and they all sound fantastic! For anyone getting into the music of the James Bond films, this is an essential collection. Even if you own every Bond soundtrack album (I know, it's sad, isn't it") you will still find plenty here to make up for the repeat material.

James Bond Theme - Monty Norman Orchestra. Goldfinger - Shirley Bassey. Nobody Does It Better - Carly Simon. The majority of the songs are composed by John Barry and the artists range from Shirley Bassey ( with 3 titles ) to the pop group a-ha. Included is Dionne Warwick's Mr. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang not used for Connery's Thunderball.
