Across the album, Lapalux manipulates live instruments such as strings, and saxophones, as well as vocal features from GABI, Louisahhh, JFDR, and Talvi. Meanwhile, his array of synths and beats contribute to his typical hardedged, jazzy electro music, some more ambient moments, and even some house influences. Ruinism is a made-up term I use to describe the way in which blended sound palettes and inspirations interact with one another to form this album. I would record synths and drum hits and re-sample, re-pitch, twist and blend the sound until it was ‘ruined’ and then salvage it again in an attempt to make something coherent.

While this might seem like a logical thematic transition, it results in a vastly different sound for the British artist.
