Introducing the Eleventh House with Larry Coryell is the debut album by The Eleventh House, released in 1974 by Vanguard Records. According to All About Jazz it was one of the pioneer jazz-rock fusion albums. Randy Brecker – French horn, trumpet. Larry Coryell – guitar. Alphonse Mouzon – drums, percussion.

The Eleventh House during 1972-1975 was one of the stronger working groups in fusion, led by one of the unsung heroes of the idiom, guitarist Larry Coryell. This CD reissue brings back the Eleventh House's first recording and, in addition to Coryell's guitar, most heavily featured are trumpeter Randy Brecker (who would later be replaced by Mike Lawrence) and keyboardist Mike Mandel; bassist Danny Trifan and drummer Alphonse Mouzon are strong in backup roles

Another solid Jazz/Fusion album from Larry Coryell. Not as good as the previously released "Barefoot Boy" but comparible to the next one with THE ELEVENTH HOUSE called "Level One". A five piece here with Alphonse Mouzon on drums, Randy Brecker on trumpet and of course Coryell on guitar plus a bass player and keyboardist playing electric piano and synths.

In 1998, the Eleventh House reunited and toured all over the world until the end of 1999. By then the Eleventh House Reunion Band consisted of Coryell on guitar, Brecker on trumpet, Richard Bona or Jeff Berlin on bass and Mouzon on drums. In 1999 original member John Lee joined the band on some occasions as did Coryell's son, Julian Coryell, on second guitar and either trumpeter Shunzo Ohno or Donald Harrison on saxophone replaced Brecker. The band reunited in 2015 for some live concerts and recorded a studio album (Seven Secrets) prior to Coryell's death on February 19, 2017

Introducing The Eleventh House With Larry Coryell is a spectacular, ten-song sychadelicfusion album that's a must-listen for any music listener. The album opens with Birdfingers, which begins with a wild drum introduction from Mouzon, riddled with toms, cymbals, high-hat, snare and bass. It's driving, focused, and energetic, sweeping in and out with crescendos and decrescendos. Coryell takes a solo at 1:57 with only Mouzon playing in support, but the rest of The Eleventh House step in gradually. Coryell's second solo is much quicker and is performed with more wah-wah than before, but the song is clearly a joy ride. The song drops at the 3:14 mark with Trifan taking a short bass run, with Coryell returning with a slow hammer-on and pull-off run.
