LyricsPiano Quartet No. 2 in . ohannes Brahms, István Lantos, Peter Komlos, Géza Németh, Károly Botvay.

Sample any of the three connected movements. The sound from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, one of the country's best chamber music venues acoustically, fits the group's aims. Strongly recommended.

Good tempi throughout and nothing drags. This quartet offers a pastoral counterweight to the Opus 25 piano quartet; its mood it similar to opus 73 and opus 77 (symphony and Violin concerto opus 77), . opus 15 and opus 68 ( piano concerto and symphony There is great interplay between Richter and the Borodins. They milk the lyrical content of the first movement and build the finale to its electrifying finale.
