So What is the third solo studio album by the American singer-songwriter and t Joe Walsh. It was released in late 1974 on ABC-Dunhill Records. It contains hard rock songs such as "Welcome To The Club" and a remake of the Barnstorm track, "Turn To Stone". It also contains more introspective material such as "Help Me Through the Night" and "Song For Emma".

Walsh showed his more philosophical side with 'A Life of Illusion,' the first single from his first post-Eagles solo album. The song was originally recorded in 1973, but not finished. Walsh took a turn in a different direction with 'Waffle Stomp,' from the soundtrack to the hit film 'Fast Times at Ridgemont High. The track was a step toward techno with its electronic drum sounds and glossy keyboard production, which pointed the way to some of his future solo work. A d electric solo lifts the song to the status of one of the Top 10 Joe Walsh Songs.
