The album was recorded from May 11 to June 5, 2015 at Red Room Recordings in Seattle. Parts of the song were also recorded at Studio Litho in Seattle and also in the band's hometown, St. Louis.

Foxing is an American indie rock band from St. Louis, Missouri. The band has released three studio albums and an EP, as well as a pair of splits and a single. Foxing began in 2011 following the end of the group Hunter Gatherer, a post-rock band active from 2008 to 2010 that featured Josh Coll, Jon Hellwig and Matthew Piva.

We knew Foxing would release their sophomore album Dealer this fall on Triple Crown, and now we have more details. It comes out October 30, that's the artwork above, and the first single is second track "The Magdalene. Foxing tone it down a bit this time around, going heavier on their atmospheric post-rock side and lighter on the yelling, but "The Magdalene" hasn't lost what made previous singles like "Rory" so promising.
