Following on the successes of its previous two recordings, the octet from Silicon Valley delivers their brand of cool in a release that includes 12 tracks from the works of Gerry Mulligan, Shorty Rogers, Steve Swallow, Al Belletto, Henri Mancini, Cy Coleman, Marty Paich, and Bill Holman. Continuing and updating the West Coast Jazz sound is the force behind Octobop. After Dark is the third release by Octobop. Night Lights hit the streets in the fall of 2002 and Too Close For Comfort made its debut in the fall of 1999. Octobop performs at festivals, clubs, and private events throughout California and the Western United States.
