Herbert Jeffrey Hancock (born April 12, 1940) is an American pianist, keyboardist, bandleader, composer and actor. Hancock started his career with Donald Byrd. He shortly thereafter joined the Miles Davis Quintet, where he helped to redefine the role of a jazz rhythm section and was one of the primary architects of the post-bop sound. In the 1970s, Hancock experimented with jazz fusion, funk, and electro styles.

Using old scheme ( to produce m0ney, not music) Hancock tried to make pop-album ( in the manner of "Grammy" winner "Supernatural" of Santana). Still Tom Jones many years ago returned back to business using duets with modern popular artists release. Santana made trilogy based on that formula ( only first album was really interesting). So, Hancock even ask Santana for help and recorded one song with Santana standard guitar solo ( and Anqelique Kidjo on vocal). But it didn't help - album is total disaster!
