The Black Album is an unofficial compilation album of solo material by members of the British rock group the Beatles. It was created by the American actor Ethan Hawke, and became widely known as a result of its inclusion in the 2014 film Boyhood.

Black Sessions are performances of live music broadcast on the French radio station France Inter. They are recorded in front of a live audience and feature on the C'est Lenoir show. The name is a pun based on the name of their creator, Bernard Lenoir, translated literally as "Bernard the black".

The only brand new song on this compilation titled "Wait Outside" is a previously unreleased track from the Viva Emptiness sessions. The Black Sessions is a 3-disc (2 CD greatest hits, double album, 1 DVD live album) compilation, from the band, Katatonia. It is the band's second greatest hits album, the previous being Brave Yester Days. The "greatest hits" portion, features the second half of the band's musical genre change of alternative rock & gothic rock, that started from Saw You Drown, while previously they had an alternative metal, gothic metal & doom metal style prior to Saw You Drown and a style that is only present of the final song this compilation.
