I just bought a copy of the MGV 4011-2 edition from Verve catalog, but I'm wondering about the actual manufacturing year of this piece, since the booklet mentions a book from Ira Gerschwin from 1959... how could the record has been made in 1957? I didn't find any mention of further re-edition with the same catalog number...

"The Complete Ella Fitzgerald & Louis Armstrong On Verve"' compact disc set's liner notes cite MGVS 6040-2 as the original LP issue for Porgy & Bess with no reference to 4011-2, so I'm thinking your guess that 4011-2 has a different release year than indicated here may be correct. And that the "Reissue" tag associated with the entry for 6040-2 here is also incorrect.

I have the same copy. It was given to me by my uncle and he says he bought it in 1959.
