This song is by Joan Armatrading and appears on the live album Steppin' Out (1979). Some people want to see my blood gush outAnd others want to watch while I cryI heard somebody say once I was way too blackAnd someone answers she's not black enough for me. I bite my tongue and it bites me backI bought a house and the neighbours movedI had a dog but it was stolen.
