Great White is the first full-length album by the American rock band Great White. Three tracks are taken from the band's previous EP, albeit in re-recorded versions. The musical style of this album is very different from the following highly successful releases of Great White, as they display here a more hard-driving metal sound as opposed to their later, blues-infused rock sound. EMI America judged the album a disaster and Great White were dropped.

Filled with evocative melodies and heartfelt lyrics, White Night explores a range of emotions through a variety of musical influences, with a certain preference for the melancholic blend of EDM recently favored by lablemates Winner and AKMU (Akdong Musician). Beginning with the soulful trance intro of White Night, the album leads directly into Wake Me Up, an ambient track about the dreamlike state of love. Along with the release of the album, Taeyang dropped music videos for both Darling and Wake Me Up. The duo present Taeyang at his most sentimental as he sings amidst the glitter-infused dreamscape of "Wake Me Up" and in a variety of settings in the video for "Darling, which shows the BIGBANG member as a mournful lover reflecting on romance from amidst fog and high above Los Angeles before transitioning to solitary reflection in a church and the isolation of. Alaska.

The exquisitely packaged Under Great White Northern Lights box set aims to summarize the duo in their most potent form- onstage, with two spotlights beaming straight through them, using little more than eye contact and reflexes to figure out where to go next. And it's a wild success. The pair also celebrate their 10th anniversary near the end of the trek, lending the affair some sentimental heft; the strange trip from being a couple of married oddballs in peppermint duds to being divorced, canonized Saviors of Rock can sometimes be seen flickering across their faces.

A Hard Day's Night became their first album to consist solely of original material, and was The Beatles only release to consist solely of songs written by Lennon-McCartney. The title of A Hard Day's Night had been coined by Ringo Starr, and first appeared in John Lennon's short story Sad Michael in his first book In His Own Write. The genesis of the song was later recalled by Evening Standard journalist Maureen Cleave, who was a friend to The Beatles. One day I picked John up in a taxi and took him to Abbey Road for a recording session. Rather a feeble line about tiredness, I said.
