Various, Marshall Jefferson – Chicago House 86 - 91: The Definitive Story. Label: Beechwood Music – CHBOXCD1. Although the title says 86-91, the tracks are from 1985-1988, except for "Bird in a Gilded Cage" (1993) and "The Real Thing" (1994; mono). The DJ mix from the third CD is probably from 1996. A decent overview across three CD's. Cd 1 and 2 contain some classic tracks from 86-91 as the box set title would have you expect. The third disc is a mix by Marshall Jefferson and is worth having alone. Tracks include: Move your body, Love Can't turn around, Housemaster, Acid Trax, Children Of The night, No Way Back, Can You Feel It, The Real Thing, Ride the Rhythm, The Jungle, This is Acid and Lost In The Groove.
All of the most familiar tunes are here - "Move Your Body," "Love Can't Turn Around," "Acid Trax," "No Way Back," "Can You Feel It," "You Used to Hold Me," "Your Love" - and with a few arguable exceptions, only the best is included.
Chicago (sometimes referred to as Chicago II) is the second studio album by Chicago-based American rock band Chicago. Like their debut album, Chicago Transit Authority, this was a double album. It was their first album under the name Chicago (the band's prior name, Chicago Transit Authority, was changed due to a threatened lawsuit from the Chicago Transit Authority) and the first to use the now ubiquitous cursive Chicago logo on the cover
